Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a therapy method using focused, slow-paced pressure to affect deeper layers of soft tissue. A therapist directs attention to specific areas with pressure determined by client preference and therapist skill, experience and judgment. Deep tissue massage may be combined with other methods, such as, relaxation massage, Reiki or heated stones.

A Perfect Combination™

A Perfect Combination™ combines focused deep tissue pressure on specific areas where an individual may have need of deeper therapy, such as shoulders and back, combined with gentle, soothing relaxation techniques for other areas requiring less focused pressure. For example, a 60-minute Perfect Combination session allows time for deeper tissue therapy to shoulders and back combined with relaxation techniques for other areas. A 90- or 120-minute session allows additional time for focused deep tissue therapy to several areas of particular stress, as well as additional time for a full-body relaxation massage. The areas of focused attention are individualized according to each client’s specific stress patterns.

Relaxation Massage

Relaxation Massage is a therapy method primarily using broad, general strokes covering wide expanses of the body rather than focused strokes on specific areas. The goal is to create a quiet mini-retreat that relaxes muscles, soothes the spirit and allows recipients to gather their thoughts and get in touch with the present moment. A 60-minute session is adequate time for a full body relaxation massage without focused attention to any specific area. A 90- or 120-minute session allows time for a full body massage plus time for extra attention to specific areas.

  • 60 minutes: $90 ($105 with heated stones)
  • 90 minutes: $135 ($150 with heated stones)
  • 120 minutes: $180 ($195 with heated stones)

Feet Treat™

Give your feet a session of pampering that relaxes your entire body. A session begins with removal of rough surface skin, continues with a wrap of warm towels, massage of ankles and lower legs, gentle pressure of acupressure points, and massage of feet. A final mixture of shea butter, jojoba and sunflower oils is used to hydrate skin and rejuvenate hard-working feet.

Myofascial Therapy

A gentle, manual technique for releasing restrictions between fascia and other soft tissues of the body. The goal is to diminish or eliminate pain and increase range of motion. Fascia is a network of tough connective tissue covering and connecting muscles, organs, and skeletal structures of the body. Injuries, stress, trauma, inflammation and poor posture can cause restriction to fascia. Manipulation of fascia during myofascial release allows connective tissue fibers to align in a more flexible, functional manner.

It isn't necessary to be an athlete to enjoy the benefits of sports massage. It’s a modality for anyone seeking massage for injury, chronic pain, or restricted joint range of motion, as well as a good choice for those active in sports activities.

Connective Tissue Massage

Connective Tissue Massage is a form of myofascial therapy used to treat chronic tension, soft tissue dysfunction and improve posture. No oils or lotions are used; the therapy is slow-paced and comfortable to receive. Concentration is on restoring connective tissue (fascia) to its normal flexibility and length.

Prenatal Massage

Safe, healthy, and relaxing massage specifically intended for expectant mothers. Careful consideration is given to soft tissue changes associated with pregnancy. Prenatal massage is primarily provided in a side-lying position supported by pillows, bolsters and cushions that minimizes strain on uterine ligaments and musculoskeletal structures.
Heated stones are not used with Prenatal Massage.

Manual Lymph Therapy

Manual Lymph Therapy is a gentle, restful massage method using light pressure and rhythmic movements to aid lymphatic fluid flow through the lymphatic system into the cardiovascular system. The method is often used in conjunction with other manual therapies.
Heated stones are not offered with this service.

Dry Brushing

Dry Brushing is an exfoliation technique that uses a natural bristle brush to gently brush the skin, revealing fresh, healthy skin layers. (Facial skin, which may be too delicate for this treatment, is excluded). The technique stimulates healthy skin cell production by removing dead surface skin and temporarily increasing blood flow to the skin’s surface. The brushing sensations create an “awake” feeling in the skin, while also being calming overall. The brushing session includes warm towel wrap and gentle massage.

Therapeutic & Rehabilitative Massage

Therapeutic and rehabilitative massage focuses on the treatment of soft tissue to maintain, develop, or rehabilitate physical function. Joint movement is increased, circulation of blood and lymph improved, and soft tissue dysfunction treated. Care is taken to prevent compensatory or secondary conditions from developing. This therapy may be used for treatment of Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, injury rehabilitation, repetitive stress injuries, postural distortions, and biomechanical soft tissue dysfunction.
Heated stones are not offered with this service.

Reiki

Reiki is based on the theory that universal life-force (Ki in Japanese) can be channeled for healing. Practitioners of Reiki use subtle touch or holding of specific points to harmonize the flow of energy through the recipient's body and stimulate their innate healing capacity.

Reflexology

A therapeutic method of comfortable pressure applied to specific points on hands and feet to improve health.

Plantar Fasciitis Massage Treatment

Plantar fasciitis (PLAN-tur fas-e-I-tis) is one of the most common causes of heel pain, caused by inflammation of a thick band of tissue, called the plantar fascia, that runs across the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes. Massage treatment involves stretching the fascia of the sole of the foot to decrease the tension on the attachment points that cause pain.
